Huntsville, the Rocket City

The city of Huntsville, AL is otherwise known as Rocket City because of its close association with the NASA space program. The George C. Marshall Space Flight Center was opened in 1960 and was tasked with the mission of developing the Saturn boosters used by NASA in the Apollo Lunar Landing Program.
