Connecticut's Gold Coast

The "Goal Coast" is a term given to the affluent region of Southwestern Connecticut. Located about 50 miles northeast of New York City, the Gold Coast is home to many wealthy Manhattan business executives. This area is often portrayed in culture as a long steeped stronghold of wealth. Since the mid-20th century, a number of novels and films have been set here showcasing the regions opulence and prosperity including The Stepford Wives.
