Two of the World’s Most Active Volcanoes
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, established in 1916, contains Kīlauea and Mauna Loa — two of the world's most active volcanoes. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and during eruptions the Big Island literally gets bigger as new lava flows cool into fresh land.
