The Enchanted Highway's Giant Sculptures

The Enchanted Highway in western North Dakota is a 32-mile stretch of road lined with the world's largest metal sculptures, created by a former teacher named Gary Greff who wanted to bring tourists to the dying town of Regent, population around 150. The sculptures include Geese in Flight, which stands 110 feet tall and is the largest scrap metal sculpture in the world, along with a 60-foot pheasant, a 51-foot deer family, and other giant animals scattered across the prairie. Greff funded the project largely by himself over decades, working as a welder during the day to pay for it.
