Nashville's Music Row
Nashville's Music Row, a cluster of recording studios, publishing houses, and record labels concentrated in a small neighborhood south of downtown, is where the majority of country music, and a significant portion of all American popular music, has been made for the past 70 years. The RCA Studio B on Music Row, where Elvis Presley recorded over 200 songs, still operates as a working studio and museum. The infrastructure of Music Row, including the relationships between songwriters, producers, musicians, and labels that developed there over decades, makes it arguably the most productive and influential square mile in American music history.
